Life and Death in the spiritual sense

Genesis 2:17
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

This tree is Satan himself, and although it is true that nobody ever lived more than a day (1,000 yrs) in a flesh body, it is very likely that there is a deeper meaning to this. True life is eternal life, and death is to lose this life, or spiritual death. Many will fall for, and have already fallen for the deception that Satan brings to this world.

Hebrews 2:14
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Jesus defeated death, that is to say, he who had the power of death. This does not mean that satan has the ability to kill anyone in the flesh. This means to kill someone spiritually. True life is eternal life, and losing this life is "death", or to be spiritually dead. When Jesus died on the cross it was a death sentence for Satan, and he will be cast into the lake of fire at the end of the millennium (1,000 yrs-The Lords Day).

Revelation 8:9
And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

had life, died=true life is eternal life, death is to lose this life, or to become spiritually dead

Revelation 16:3
And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

living soul died:
A living soul is immortality-deathlessness
A living soul that has died is mortal-liable to die

1 corinthians 15
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

corruptible must put on incorruption-flesh body must put on a spiritual body-All will!
mortal must put on immortality-liable to die must put on deathlessness (eternal life)

knowing the difference between literal death and spiritual death is essential to understanding the Bible with any depth. The reality of this is that when Satan appears in Jerusalem claiming to be Jesus the majority of the world, especially Christians will believe it, because they have never truly been taught the Bible as it is written. It never ceases to amaze me how perfectly the scriptures all tie together, documenting itself over and over again.

Revelation 9
13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

slay the third part of men-again, this is not a literal death, this is a spiritual death, or to become spiritually dead

16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

out of their mouths-these are lies coming out of their mouths, and this is what will cause many to die the spiritual death. many already have, out of ignorance.

third part of men killed-this is not a literal death, it is spiritual death, because many will fall for these lies.

19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

like unto serpents-just like the serpent in the garden when he deceived Eve

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

Many Christians truly believe "once saved always saved", and it is obviously clear that this teaching is a contradiction of the Bible. It is also obvious that God warned us all the way back in the garden as an example of what will occur if we listen to the lies from satan.

1 Corinthians 10:11
Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

2 Corinthians 11:3
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

The ultimate battle is a spiritual battle between God and Satan for the souls of mankind.

Ultimately "death", the second death, which is the death of the soul has not occured yet. This will take place at the very end. This death will be final. It is a bit baffling to think that anyone will follow satan at the end of the 1000 years. sadly, many will.

Matthew 10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
