fruit/eat/touch Hebrew word basics

Genesis 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

פְּרִי fruit, produce (of the ground) fruit, offspring, children, progeny (of the womb) fruit (of actions) (fig.)

progeny definition
a descendant or the descendants of a person, animal, or plant; offspring.

Eat, as it appears in the manuscripts
תֹֽאכְלוּ from the Root אכל (strongs) Verb Qal Imperfect 2nd Masculine Plural conjugation

Understanding that this tree was satan, an individual, how much sense does it make to say "Ye shall not eat satans fruit"? "ye shall not consume, receive, of the descendants (lineage) of satan", is absolutely what this is telling us. Common sense goes a long way here, and this is just another small detail within the overall full picture of this topic.

I think it is safe to conclude that this verse should literally read:
But of the progeny (of the womb) of Satan which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not consume of it, neither shall ye have sexual relations with him, lest ye die.

  1. My name is Stephen from Las Vegas. I have been studying with Shepherd's Chapel since 2013. Comparing with what I have been taught through the years at my local church for 20 years and other churches in the Las Vegas area. I'm afraid to attend church any longer here. Hoping to make contact with students here if any or find a church that teaches on the same level as SC. God Bless to all those you have posted great pictures, scriptures and etc. This page on face book is such a blessing.
