Any word in italics in the King James Version of the bible, was added by the translators. There was nothing "unknown" when
the pentecostal tongue in acts 2 was spoken. This whole chapter when properly analyzed is very simple. If anyone
speaks in a foreign language, or a language that they were not born with, it would have to be interpreted in
order to edify (build up) the church. The word "unknown" was added six times in this chapter by the kjv translators.
The word "tongue" in these same six verses simply means "language", a foreign language, or a language that one
was not born with. This would have been needed to overcome the language barrier. Many will claim that this is
talking about the "gibberish" tongues ritual that has mingled into christianity, in reality however, this chapter
has nothing whatsoever to do with the "cloven" tongue that was spoken in acts 2, that was 100% understood by
all who heard it, right down to the dialect of where they were born. Paul spoke numerous languages.
1 Corinthians 14
2 For he that speaketh in an (unknown) tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth
him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
For he that "speaketh in a foreign language" speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth
him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
4 He that speaketh in an (unknown) tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
He that "speaketh in a foreign language" edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an (unknown) tongue pray that he may interpret.
14 For if I pray in an (unknown) tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
Wherefore let him that "speaketh in a foreign language" pray that he may interpret.
For if I pray in "in a foreign language" my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach
others also, than ten thousand words in an (unknown) tongue.
Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach
others also, than ten thousand words "in a foreign language"
27 If any man speak in an (unknown) tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course;
and let one interpret.
If any man "speak in a foreign language" let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course;
and let one interpret.
It is very simple: If a foreign language is spoken, it has to be interpreted, otherwise nobody is going to
understand what is being taught.
Properly breaking this down with a little bit of word study puts these verses in the proper perspective. It is truly sad that many have not taken the time to learn how to study these simple things. The reality is that many
men of the cloth dont even know these simple things. They attend a seminar and are programmed to go along with one false teaching after another. They will then in turn, teach these false doctines to their congregation, which misleads God children. I would say to anyone who may read this to do a simple google search for "kjv italics", then do a simple greek word study for γλῶσσα glōssa (#1100-strongs concordance). This is one of the biggest issues, as far as i can see within the christian community. How many churches will teach their congregation the basics of how to properly study the bible? The importance of recognizing the difference between the "cloven" tongue of acts chapter 2, and simple language(s) covered in this chapter, is very important.

Spiritual Gifts
1 Corinthians 12
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
word of wisdom, word of knowledge-wisdom comes from God, through his word. True words of wisdom come from the in depth understanding of his word. (Proverbs chapter 8). When we excersise this it will grow.
Psalm 111
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Proverbs 1
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
fear- revere, deep respect or admiration, awe
John 14
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The Holy Spirit truly does this, when we pray for wisdom and understanding from the word of God.
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
faith-conviction of the truth, Those with the gift of faith trust that God is sovereign and He is good. They take Him at His Word and put full weight of their lives in His hands. They expect God to move and are not surprised when He answers a prayer or performs a miracle.
healing - I cant help but point out that "healing" of the mind is an awesome thing. Many people need this healing, because they have no idea what the Bible is actually telling us. They simply believe what some man may tell them and go with it. It is also important to remember that God is the one who does the healing.
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
miracles - “workings of powers”
prophecy-this simply means to "teach"
prophesying changed from declaring new revelation to declaring the completed revelation God has already given.
2 Peter 2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
"were false prophets", "shall be false teachers", This short verse shows this obvious change from prophets to teachers. There is no need today for new information, as everything we need to know and understand is already written.
discerning of spirits - to distinguish between good spirits, and evil spirits, The holy spirit is the spirit of truth, and the opposite of this is the spirit of error. falling under this catagory as well is distinguishing between the truth of the Word of God and the doctrines of devils.
Hebrews 5
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
1 Timothy 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils
1 John 4
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
divers kinds of tongues - speaking numerous languages
interpretation of tongues - interpretation of languages
Many will utilize this to accommodate the false "gibberish" speaking in tongues. This simply means having the ability to speak numerous languages, and the interpretation of languages.
example:
divers kind of tongue (language)=Hebrew
aveenoo sha-bah-sha-mayim yit-kuh-desh shim-kah tah-voh mal-coo-tih-cah yay-ah-suh rit-zoh-nih-kah kah-uh-share nah-uh-sah vah-sha-mayim
if i were to say this what does it mean?
interpretation of a tongue-language
Our father, who is in the heavens. His name is holy. His kingdom will come, his will to be done in the earth, according as in the heaven.
Speaking numerous languages would have been, and still is today, an awesome tool for spreading the gospel. The cloven tongue and divers kind of tongues are two totally different things. It is important to distinguish between the two. Add to this "prophesying changed from declaring new revelation to declaring the completed revelation God has already given", and we have yet another reason why the "gibberish" speaking in tongues is an obvious error. There is no need for any new revelation, as everything we need to know has already been written. The time will come when both sons and daughters will prophesy. This will happen during the 5 month long "hour" of temptation. We are not there yet.

Spirit behind "gibberish"
gibberish definition
unintelligible or meaningless speech or writing; nonsense
pentecostal tongue
What the Bible Teaches: (Acts 2) When the holy spirit spoke through flesh it was understood by ALL who heard it, every language understood it right down to the dialect of where they were born. There was no need for an interpreter.
"Anti" instead of what the bible teaches: "gibberish" speaking in tongues - misunderstood speech that can be interpreted by any random person in an attempt to gain new knowledge or understanding outside of what is already written.
Simple to realize what spirit would cause Christians to adhere to any teaching that may be "Anti" instead of what the bible actually says.
1 John 4
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
There are alot of these false prophets among us today. Recognizing them is very important, however not all that difficult. The Bible goes into great detail of how to spot them. Does what they teach line up with the word of God? or does it contradict it?
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
How can "gibberish", or a misunderstood speech confess this? Common sense tells us that we would need to 100% understand what the spirit is saying. Doesnt say anything about interpretation here. When the Holy Spirit speaks through flesh it will be 100% understood, right down to the dialect where we were born.
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
There we have it, if the spirit behind "gibberish" cannot be understood, it cannot confess that that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, or anything with clarity, then it is not of God. It is the spirit of antichrist.
John 14
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
"whatsoever I have said unto you", how does "gibberish" teach us anything that Jesus said? Jesus told us everything already that we need to know! A "gibberish" tongue cannot have the ability to teach us anything that Jesus said.
Mark 13
23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things
This simple statement by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ clearly shows us that the teaching that the Holy Spirit speaks through flesh in "gibberish", or a tongue that is misunderstood, and can be interpreted by any random person, to gain new found knowledge or understanding outside of what is already written would have to be a false teaching. Every single thing we need to know and understand has already been written. Jesus foretold us ALL things. This is another basic or simple way to dispell the nonsense doctrine of "speaking in tongues", (gibberish), as it has been passed off within churches. It is obvious what spirit would try to mislead, deceive, christians. Another aspect of this is when the "fly away doctrine" false teaching came about in 1830 via the mentally ill margaret macdonald, it was followed by the speaking and interpretations of tongues (gibberish)
1 Corinthians 10
11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Our example in acts 2 lets us know how to recognize when the holy spirit speaks through flesh. This will occur again during the hour of temptation of Antichrist. We do not know, or are we to try to figure out what will be said. We do know from the example set forth on the day of pentecost that when this occurs it will be 100% understood by every single person who hears it. The simple reality of this is the fact that we are not in that "hour" yet, which is yet another way to dispell the "gibberish" nonesense that is being passed off as biblical.
Mark 13
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
given you in that "hour"- what hour is this speaking of?
Revelation 3
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
"the hour of temptation", this is the "hour" when this will occur, and it will come upon all the world, how much of it? "ALL the world"! This leaves nobody out. This clearly dispells another false teaching that anyone will escape the tribulation of Antichrist. The ones who are kept from it are those who "kept the word", they have studied the word of God, and have the "seal of God" in their foreheads (brain), They know that Satan himself is the Antichrist, that he will be here for the 5 month long "hour" of temptation, during which time the true pentecostal tongue, which will be 100% understood by ALL who hear it, will be spoken again.
2 other occurances of the cloven tongue
Acts 10
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
This is the same as what happened on the day of pentecost. Everyone who heard this understood it, just like in Acts chapter 2. To "magnify God", it would absolutely be understood. How does "gibberish", that is spoken in the churches today magnify God? If it is not 100% understood, then it contradicts the scriptures. Man cant fake the true pentecostal tongue! ALL who hear it WILL understand it.
Acts 19
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
This is also the same as what happened on the day of pentecost. Notice here they "prophesied", which means to teach. How can one teach, if it is "gibberish"?? Answer: They cannot. For emphasis: "ALL who hear it WILL understand it"

When the Holy Spirit speaks=ALL will understand it!
Acts 2
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
cloven-διαμερίζω-diamerizō-divide up into parts, break up; distribute
This word in context:
translated parted, Matthew 27:35,Mark 15:24,Luke 23:34,John 19:24,Acts 2:45
translated divide, divided, Luke 11:17,Luke 11:18,Luke 12:52,Luke 12:53,Luke 22:17
cloven tongues=parted, divided languages, languages divided up into parts, broken up into parts, distributed into parts
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
tongues=γλῶσσα glōssa=languages
we have numerous languages that have been divided, parted, going out in different directions.
Peoples mentioned in Acts 2: Parthians, Medes, Elamites, dwellers in Mesopotamia, Judaea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, parts of Libya, Cyrene, strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes, Arabians
From these maps (below) we can see from the peoples mentioned in Acts 2, there would have been a diversity of languages present. Everyone who heard this spoken understood it with clarity!
It doesnt take one very long to realize what this is clearly telling us. These divided, parted tongues, that went out every which way, would be 100% understood by everyone who heard them. This is our example as to how we recognize when the holy spirit speaks through flesh. There was no need for an interpreter, as all who heard it clearly understood it!
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
language-διάλεκτος dialektos=dialect, not only did numerous languages understand it, it was understood right down to the dialect. A good analogy of this would be: people from texas would have heard it with a southern draw, new englanders would have heard it in there accent, and so on and so forth. It was that specific!
dialect definition: a particular form of a language that is peculiar to a specific region or social group
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
tongue-διάλεκτος dialektos=dialect, same exact greek word translated language in verse 6
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
tongues-γλῶσσα glōssa=language, this was the purpose, and when they heard it they all understood it. They heard the wonderful works of God when it was spoken. This wasnt the "gibberish" tongue being passed off as an example of what happened on this day. The correct example we have here is the exact opposite! Every language that heard it understood it, right down to the dialect. Out of one mouth=numerous languages. This is how we recognize when the holy spirit speaks through flesh. Anything that may contradict this is false. I would add to this that most likely the "gibberish" being passed off in the churches today when compared to demon possession, clearly leads to the conclusion that it is a counterfeit spirit behind it.
Revelation 1
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
Remember that the Father, Son, Holy Spirit are one. What are waters?
Revelation 17
15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
The voice that John heard was "as the sound of many peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues", which is identical to what was described in Acts chapter 2
Ezekiel 43
2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
Same exact conclusion here as well. "voice was like a noise of many peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues"
God never keeps us guessing. There is always a second witness documented within the scriptures. The only conclusion that can be reached is when the Holy Spirit speaks through flesh, ALL will understand it. This is why it is ever so important that we go by Gods word, and we never go by what any man may say, or teach, without checking it out.

Complexity of Hebrew Verbs
This post is intended to show that although using a strongs concordance can be helpful, when it comes to
Hebrew verbs it is very important to understand how complex they are. There are literally numerous possible
conjugations of hebrew verbs that will stem from one single root word. It is from the conjugation, and the
conjugation alone that one can begin to analyze, or base any educated decision from the hebrew verb. There
are many other factors as well, within these conjugations. 1st, 2nd or 3rd person, past, present, future tense,
and is it masculine or feminine. To simplify this, we will keep this at a very basic level, so that anyone
who may read this will begin to see how important it is to understand hebrew verbs. For the examples in this
post i will utilize past tense, and future tense, stemming from the same exact root word. The bible passages
in these examples are Genesis 1:2, and Exodus 3:14, and the root word is הָיָה hayah From this root word there
are numerous possible conjugations, that will indicate the tense, as well as the other things i already mentioned,
but for now lets focus on the tense. Recognizing the actual conjugation directly from the manuscripts is how this
is done. A strongs concordance will ONLY give the root words. Below are basic hebrew verb conjugation charts
that one will utilize when determining how it should be translated.
In the first example, הָיָה hayah is the root and הָיְתָה haitá is the conjugajion of this root. It is highlighted within the text at the top.
This is where it is found within the conjugation chart (circled), and notice it says "past" tense
What is derived from this is: הָיְתָה haitá is the past tense of הָיָה hayah the root word, or the past tense of: to be, which would be "was" become, which would be "became" come to pass, which would be "came to pass" exist, which would be "existed" All of which are correct, However due to context, or what is called the "gap theory", this absolutely should read "became", another study for another time. Lets do another one, where the root word הָיָה hayah is found.
In the second example, הָיָה hayah is the root and אֶֽהְיֶה eh·yeh is the conjugajion of this root. It is highlighted within the text at the top.
This is where it is found within the conjugation chart (circled), and notice it says "future" tense
What is derived from this is: אֶֽהְיֶה eh·yeh is the future tense of הָיָה hayah the root word, or the future tense of: to be which would be "will be" become, which would be "will become" come to pass, which would be "will come to pass" exist, which would be "will exist" All of which are correct.
I hope by sharing this that anyone who reads it will begin to understand how complex Hebrew verbs truly are. Imagine if we tried to find the meaning of the second example that is actually future tense from a strongs concordance. Root words are always past tense, and the conjugation of the second example is in the future tense. It is simple to see that this would be an error. This is something that one becomes aware of early in biblical hebrew language study. Translating hebrew verbs can only be done directly from the manuscripts themselves, and from the actual conjugation of the root word, and NOT, let me repeat this NOT, from the root word. This is a basic example of hebrew verbs, or an attempt to show the complexity of hebrew verbs. Hebrew verbs are actually much more complex than this, however this is the foundation of understanding hebrew verbs, charts etc.

Analyzing greek (False Prophets)
2 Peter 2
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
covetousness-πλεονεξία-pleonexia-greedy desire to have more, covetousness, avarice
Pleonexia, sometimes called pleonexy, originating from the Greek πλεονεξία, is a philosophical concept which roughly corresponds to greed, covetousness, or avarice, and is strictly defined as "the insatiable desire to have what rightfully belongs to others"
feigned-πλαστός-moulded, formed, as from clay, wax, or stone, invented, artificial, false, spurious, fictitious, counterfeit
And through the insatiable desire to have what rightfully belongs to others shall they with invented, fictitious words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
